Under Armour partners with Until to produce plastic-free sneakers

Sportswear giant Under Armour has once again teamed up with Until to launch three new plastic-free, recyclable sneakers. The collaboration, which debuted during New York City’s Climate Week, builds on a collaboration between Under Armour and Until, in which the two brands launched a line of plant-based, recyclable athletic apparel designed to decompose rather than pollute.

The Under Armour x Until collection marks the first time the resurgent fashion brand’s footwear has been available through Under Armour. Emphasizing the brands’ shared focus on sustainable innovation, all three sneakers are completely plastic-free, inspired by natural cycles, and designed to safely return to the earth at the end of their lives.

Eric Liedke, Under Armour’s executive vice president of brand strategy, said in a statement: “These aren’t just sneakers – they give back more than they take, embodying a new standard of innovation that works in harmony with nature. At UA, we’re proud to use our platform to accelerate meaningful change and highlight products that are as responsible as they are high-performance.”
